Red Grape Varieties: Aglianico, Aleatico, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cesanese, Malvasia Nera, Merlot, Montepulciano, Piedirosso, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Sciascinoso. This appellation from Campania lies close to the city of Salerno. Minimum alcohol level is 10.0% for Bianco normale; 10.5% for Rosso, all frizzante wines, and all sweet (amabile) versions of non-dessert wines; 11.0% for Rosato normale and Novello; 15.0% potential for Passito
