    Verdicchio (ver DEEK kee oh) is a great grape giving highly age-worthy wines. Its mostly know area of cultivation is Marche (Castelli di Jesi and Matelica) but it is widely planted also in Veneto where it is called Trebbiano di Soave and it is part of many appellations, among which Lugana DOC and the Soave DOC.
